short bio:

Coming to web development from a background in music composition, the creative problem-solving required in both music and coding has always strongly interested me. My experience in the tech industry has been in both technical and creative roles, where I remained fascinated by the industry’s speed of change and innovation. My goal is to find a thriving environment where I am constantly able to learn and and be challenged, and where I can work alongside smart, driven peers.

experience/education:

My work at Juggle consisted of participation in the full-stack development of a platform that enables mid- to senior-level professionals to find flexible working opportunities. This involved both a customer-facing platform for businesses to post jobs and for professionals to be considered for roles, as well as an internal staff portal for managing the screening, shortlisting and interviewing process for a given role.

Intensive 12-week course in Web Development, with a concentration on JavaScript and the most popular JavaScript frameworks and libraries. The course is designed to simulate the agile development process, with daily standups and four projects that range from games to WebApps.

Content processing, as well as some marketing and market research for an interactive iPad and web music app designed to help pianists and singers learn and perform new music by offering large amounts of free sheet music and audio recordings for a very small subscription fee. I initiated and helped run marketing campaign for Hamilton content and aided the executive team in researching the Chinese music tech market.

Writing video game music as part of the team at the game developer FunFind was my first exposure to working from inside the software development environment. Although I was in a non-technical role, I nonetheless enjoyed the process of working to a set of requirements and watching how a multidisciplinary team built a single app together.
